Flexible Large-Scale Self-Driven Perovskite X-ray Detector by Precise Heterogeneous Integration
abstract:
Self-driven X-ray detectors, which eliminate the need for an external power supply and offer portability, are gaining significant attention for medical and industrial applications. However, their use is limited in emerging wearable electronics for imaging non-flat or complex objects. Here, we address this issue by developing a heterogeneous integration strategy on a scalable production scale to create flexible, large-scale, and thick perovskite membranes with high-performance, self-driven X-ray detection and imaging capabilities. The precise heterogeneous integration between 3D perovskites and various 2D perovskites can achieve a complex balance among spontaneous charge separation/transport, X-ray attenuation, and mechanical durability. Thus, we provide the first demonstration of a flexible perovskite heterojunction for X-ray detectors with a record self-driven sensitivity of 292 μC Gyair–1 cm–2. Furthermore, we mark the first demonstration of the imaging capability of perovskite self-driven X-ray detectors. This work may provide a foundation for developing a host of sustainable and flexible perovskite optoelectronic devices.
